I'm making unique pieces inspired by the city of Bristol and the countryside in the South West. My focus lies in weaving fabric, predominantly scarves, using a rigid heddle loom and natural fibres. This creative process stands in stark contrast to my previous experience with industrial looms. Embracing the challenges and constraints of this loom type has become an enjoyable aspect of my work.

I worked closely with a diverse range of clients to create fabric designs for men's shirts, encompassing woven, jacquard, and printed patterns. In addition to fabric creation, my responsibilities extended to curating entire collections, revamping branding, and refining styling.My role involved providing guidance on fabric quality to achieve desired aesthetics while adhering to specific price targets. My understanding of fabric production processes played a pivotal role in this endeavor.Over the years, I undertook design projects for a multitude of clients, some of which included Next, Debenhams, Hammon & Co, Duffer, Jeff Banks, Thomas Nash, John Rocha, Burtons, Topman, Asos, Tesco, and Sainsbury's.I attended numerous trend forecasting exhibitions, diligently researching trends aligning with our clients' visions.For many years, I led a formal team, offering guidance and training to new staff members in both the design and sales departments.Furthermore, I maintained close communication with mills in the Far East, collaborating to produce the ideal fabric. I reviewed handloom samples and print strike offs to ensure optimal results.
