Specialties: Business, Marketing, Brand and Communications Strategy.I started my career as a UCMDS Management trainee with Unilever, quickly becoming a Brand Manager on Olivio, now Bertolli.After leaving client side to explore strategic account planning, I spent nine years gaining experience of advertising agencies ranging from the big, McCann-Erickson and Leo Burnett, to the small, Soul and the very creative, TBWA. This continued exposure to and management of brands such as Nike, Nissan, Cadbury’s, Liberty, Kellogg’s and Unicef, from the other side of the fence culminated in me becoming a Planning Director in 2002.As the demand for fully integrated communications gathered momentum, I joined Naked Communications as Brand Strategy Director. Two years later, I became Managing Partner of Naked London and when not in operational company mode, managed flagship accounts such as Boots and Unilever.Keen to continue evolving and applying my brand strategist skills in new and exciting areas, I joined international media agency Aegis Media, where I became Head of Communications Strategy for Carat Global Management. There, I ran Nokia, J&J and Kellogg’s before being promoted to Head of Planning in 2009.I now run Blazye Pearce, a brand and communications consultancy with my partner, Chris Blazye.This role allows me to indulge in my passion for the role brands play in business solutions and utilise my core skill set of brand architecture and strategy, whilst leveraging the varied experience and multiple perspectives my career has given me.I love the fact that I find myself working in a number of different ways, in different guises.I have been the external consultant and the implant directly into the team, I have done one day workshops, three days a week for fourteen months and two six month slots over a period of two years.So, I relish short and long term project work and my ability to freelance with different people, different businesses.
