Training Manager
CurrentLeading on Training at Campden BRI, the world’s largest independent provider of practical scientific, technical, regulatory and information support to the food, drink and allied industries. As the Training lead I am responsible for the strategy and development of the training activity that we deliver for clients in the food and drink industry, this includes our extensive open calendar programme, and working closely with key clients on In-house Training Academies to develop training solutions. Since 2020 we have adapted our training offer to include tutor-led online training courses, with a portfolio of over 30 courses now converted to online delivery. In 2022 I led a complex project to develop our first e-Learning training course - 'Thermal processing – foundation level' - really proud of the highly interactive and visual course that we produced, the feedback from our corporate clients has been great, and I look forward to developing more e-Learning courses in the future. I work closely with our subject matter experts who deliver the training courses and a small team who organise and administer the training activity, including online tutor led courses, and face to face courses at Campden BRI sites and client locations. Part of my remit includes looking at ways we can develop our training activity through collaborative working with partners, and in promoting the industry to students. Involved in the hosting and organisation of the Student Launchpad and the EcoTrophelia competition - these activities are a great way of showcasing the opportunities for students looking at careers in the industry. The Food Industry is really vibrant and great to be involved in, there are many opportunities to work with a wide range of clients which can be both challenging and rewarding. Campden BRI has a great track record in the industry and it is great to work for such a well regarded company.
