SVA works with social purpose organisations, corporates, government and philanthropists to improve the lives of people in need in Australia. In this contract position I developed content to build SVA's brand presence and support the organisation's pioneering work.The role involved writing stories about SVA's social enterprise partners, producing blog posts, news stories, media releases, thought leadership articles, social media posts and eDMs. I supported the editor of the SVA Quarterly - the sector's leading management publication, and produced brochures, reports and other marketing and event collateral. I also initiated the development of a comprehensive content strategy, with processes to support this.

King Content was Australia's leading digital content marketing agency with offices in Sydney, Singapore, London and New York. I managed several content hubs for leading B2B and B2C brands, including American Express, Destination NSW, NRMA, Resilium, Clarius Group and Savills global property advisers. I was responsible for developing tailored editorial content to engage each client’s audience and achieve strategic goals. Work included research and content ideation, commissioning and managing freelancers, writing, editing, developing content calendars, managing budgets, social media management, analytics and reporting. I also contributed to strategy development and new business pitches.

Hardie Grant is one of the largest independent publishing and media businesses in Australia, with a diverse portfolio across print and digital. I edited several key titles with different publication frequencies including:– Australia Unlimited print and digital magazine (Austrade – Brand Australia Program)– Wartime magazine (The Australian War Memorial)– Backpacker Essentials magazine (YHA)- The Official Guide to Sydney (Destination NSW, City of Sydney, SHFA)- Found: The Shopping Guide to Sydney (Hardie Grant Media)- City of Sydney Residents’ Guide (City of Sydney)- Flavour magazine (Peter McInnes)My role encompassed editorial direction, commissioning, editing, writing, sub-editing, liaising with clients and designers, managing deadlines, and creating content plans and schedules. I managed several magazine re-designs and the launch/evolution of new titles, including Australia Unlimited's transition from a print to a digital publication.

POL was one of Australia's leading independent publishing companies creating custom magazines and on-shelf titles, including VIVE magazine for professional women. I was the editor of two quarterly newsstand publications, VIVE+ and VIVE Travel+ (the former helped professional women manage their lives; Travel+ helped them plan their escapes). I launched both titles on the back of VIVE magazine and established them as credible, stand-alone resources for women. I was responsible for managing each issue from concept stage to completion, including planning content, generating editorial ideas, researching and writing articles, commissioning features, sub-editing and briefing designers. I also contributed regular articles and sections for VIVE and brand titles: Fashion Capital, The Chase and Luxe.
