• Managing a case load of service users which involved conducting comprehensive and risk assessments, advice and information and harm reduction, onward referrals and safeguarding• Supporting service users to form recovery plans, along with using psychosocial interventions such as Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioural Approaches, Solution Focused Therapy, and encouraging service users to set SMART goals.• Group facilitator for two modules in the ‘Self Build Program’ which included mindfulness practices. • Facilitator for the Pre-Rehab group which helped service users to explore and prepare for the option of rehab.• Dual diagnosis champion, providing a link with mental health agencies to incorporate dual diagnosis working. • Running and supporting clinics with Dr’s and Nurse Medical Prescribers in making changes to service users prescriptions and linking the prescribing and psychosocial elements of treatment• Multi agency working with services such as, mental health, probation, housing and social services

• Predominately a client facing role, providing support and information to service users regarding appointments, group times and advice on other support agencies. Along with supplying information to members of the public about the support options available. • Administrative support e.g. minute taking in the monthly team meetings, diary co-ordination and booking of the conference room, correspondence on behalf of the team leader and Doctors letters. • Updating and maintaining the clinic appointment files ensuring they are up to date and accurate, along with access to the petty cash and recording out goings.• Data cleansing activities such as running reports and updating records and modalities.

6 Month placement as an Honorary Assistant Team Therapist within a Therapeutic Community for people with complex needs. Established and maintained appropriate relationships with the service users through clinical experience. Involvement in an audit, contacting ex-service users, results were analysed and findings presented at a team research meeting. Observed assessments and attended induction sessions which focused on; the development of psychoanalytic ideas and main models, therapeutic communities and groups, looking into boundaries, transference and somatising. Participated in group and individual supervision regarding the service users, risk and personal expression.
