Recent highlights include publishing bestselling author Marcus Chown, Alex Bescoby’s The Last Overland, named a Waterstones Book of 2022 and shortlisted for the Edward Stanford Travel Writing Award, a full-colour fitness book by trainer-to-the-stars Simon Waterson and a definitive guide to the James Webb Space Telescope images by Dr Maggie Aderin-Pocock.

Covering the role of Managing Editor before I left for my own maternity leave in November 2013. My role involved:- Managing the production editorial team- Overseeing a large list of books from MS to print ready files: commissioning freelancers, collating edits and proofreads, liaising with authors and signing off final files- Scheduling and running production editorial meetings to ensure the smooth running of all print titles through the editorial process- Running reports from the title database on production progress and liaising with in-house editors to devise production schedules- Managing a team of external freelance copyeditors, proofreaders and indexers

- Managing a large list of fiction and nonfiction titles from MS to final copy- Commissioning and managing freelance copyeditors, proofreaders and indexers, collating edits and proofreads and liaising with authors- Commissioning and overseeing production of illustrations, maps and photo sections for fiction and nonfiction titles - Checking and editing cover copy- Updating and editing information on in-house title database
