Until recently I was a registered adult nurse, I started my training in 2009 and worked as an RN across many specialties and levels. While I loved it for the most part, I found that in working to support people in their wellness I was becoming sick, both physically and mentally. I lost count of how many times I burned out and beat myself up about it. I now work as an administrator in the Patient Experience Team. I have never been happier or felt better. I feel like I have finally defined my own success, not on the slippery career pole, striving for the next Band, but as someone who is pursuing balance, who is enough, and using my time in a way that that builds me up.
