Founder of a small community business with the aim of creating items from reclaimed materials. Accessories, clothes and bunting are made from unwanted textiles using vintage sewing machines in the World Heritage Site Cromford Mills.Initiated a community learning textile group where learning was shared across generations. This has now gone on to become a successful community business based in nearby Ashbourne.

Managed a "Raising Aspirations" project for Derby City Partnership, funded by the European Social Fund.Raising Aspirations project was awarded the regional Champion for the ESF Specialist Project Leader Awards.
