I have worked as Company Director/Administrator for A1 Glass & Glazing for over 20 years. My responsibility has been the efficient administration of the company, particularly with regard to the financial success of the business, and compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements. The reviewing and reconciling of accounts, processing payments and maintaining updated records of invoices and receipts.I consider myself to be adaptable to different situations, possess good communication and management skills, problem solving, presentation and interpersonal skills.Throughout my experiences I have gained numerous professional skills, including confidence with financial figures and knowledge of Microsoft Office; working accurately in written and mathematical sense, paying close attention to detail; and, enhancing my professional spoken and written communication skills. I believe myself to be a methodical, reliable and well-organised individual, thriving both independently and in teams as displayed during my time at ReAssure and A1 Glass and Glazing. I have the ability to learn new systems and am largely flexible and open to change, adapting myself to achieve the best possible outcome. As an enthusiastic person, I feel I am able to relate well with pupils, teachers and parents with sensitivity and understanding, approaching all aspects of my work with commitment and integrityIn regards to personal activities and pastimes I am involved with several different sports clubs as a parent of a cricketer and footballer and enjoy engaging with other supporters, helping with fund raising events for the clubs. I am a qualified ASA Level 1 Judge for British Swimming, this mainly involved timekeeping and inspecting turns at regional swimming competitions. My main pastime is running, I particularly enjoy the emotional boost of running, feeling that it gives me stress relief and increased mental flexibility. Between 2007 – 2011 I was a member on the School Committee at my daughters’ Primary school, where I was involved in organising some fabulous fund- raising events, sponsored bike rides, fayres, and sales etc. I enjoy long walks with my dog and spending time gardening, particularly growing my own fruits and vegetables.
