Joachim Bamrud, the editor-in-chief of Latinvex, is an award-winning journalist with more than four decades experience covering Latin America for U.S. and European media, including Reuters, The Economist, Economist Intelligence Unit, UPI, Global Finance, The Miami Herald, Christian Science Monitor and MiningWeekly. He is the founder and former editor-in-chief of Latin Business Chronicle (2006-12) and former editor-in-chief of Latin Trade magazine (1997-99 and 2011-12). He has been interviewed or quoted by such media as Time, Financial Times, Reuters, Bloomberg, Fox News and CNN. He is also the author of Panama Jack, an action thriller set in Panama and China. Bamrud was born in Spain and grew up in the United States and Norway. He has also lived in Mexico, Colombia, Venezuela, Panama and the Dominican Republic. Specialties: Latin America.
