For the better part of 2 decades, I have built ventures in financial services, technology, innovation and family offices.As a trained financial risk manager I used to be paid to dwell on extreme probabilities of things going wrong. Thinking through the possibilities would give me a thrill. Yet, riveting on the downside left me unfulfilled.As a partner in a boutique consulting firm I have been intimate with strategic agendas of corporates. Repurposing their existing assets with a bold new vision has taught me about innovation. Yet, lingering inertia and politics around execution made me check out.As an entrepreneur and investor I have built, turned around and derailed a few different ventures. Working with people with an unstoppable drive to change the world for good, have humbled me. Bolstering their success has been my pursuit ever since. I cater to entrepreneurs in 3 ways:I. Scale - Through Wright Partners, a Corporate Venture builder, I am deeply involved in incubating, architecting and growing joint ventures with large enterprises. I provide entrepreneurs access to large scale corporate assets.II. Capital - With Zephyr Ventures, a private venture firm, I act as an operating partner to funders and founders. I provide companies at a critical stage of growth with financial, human and social capital.III. Education - At INSEAD, a leading b-school, I lecture, direct the startup bootcamp and act as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence. I provide budding entrepreneurs and executives with mental and role models to find the confidence to venture out. I live in Singapore with my wife and 2 kids.
