Moggles - Virtual reality for smartphones.Moggles is developed to be a tool for exploring Virtual Reality in a cost effective and easily accessible way. It started out as a complete platform consisting of a headset for smartphones, a motion tracking hand controller and a web based platform for content.As the CTO at Moggles, I'm doing work in:Sensor fusion and Kalman filtering of several data streams.Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM) from smartphone cameras.Modern web development for Virtual Reality in HTML5.Technical visionary.As a Co founder at Moggles I'm also doing work in business development, economy, strategies, fund raising, recruitments and so on.

As an early adopter of open source 3D printers, I've designed and built several prototype printers during the years. From mechanical layout, CAD design, creating BOMs, sourcing parts to construction of fully functional prototypes.

In this project, I developed a software written in C++ for handling, viewing and slicing STL 3D models for DLP printers. The software includes:* GUI using OpenGL and QT. User can add, translate, rotate, scale 3D models.* Fast slicer with visualization for sliced layers.* Communication and control of DLP printer.* Automatic creation of support structure based on an algorithm finding local minima in the 3D model.

Construction and design of a high resolution top down projecting DLP photopolymer curing 3D printer. This project was started before there were any open source DLP printers. Therefore, every part had to be built from scratch.The project included:* Mechanical layout, CAD design.* Electrical design for control electronics (stepper motor controllers, micro processors).* Firmware development with communication protocol to host computer.* STL 3D model slicing software written in C++.* Experimental setup for photo polymer curing times and timers.* Construction of a box for post process UV hardening of printed parts.A working prototype was built with a resolution of 139 microns in the X-Y plane and 50 microns in the Z axis.
