I am a Clinical Psychologist (MA Clin Psych, South Africa) and Clinical Neuropsychologist (MSc Paeds Neuropsychology, UCL, UK) who now lives and works full-time as an artist in the USA. Previously, I worked in the NHS for 15 years, the last 5 years setting up and managing a neuropsychology cancer survivorship service. My background is in clinical research: I worked as a research coordinator on a clinical trials site in Cape Town preparing cross-cultural communities for phase III vaccine trials. This formed part of SAAVI and the Desmond Tutu HIV Foundation. I published widely in this area. Returning to South Africa in 2016, I started a private practice focusing on neurodevelopmental disorders and medico-legal assessments. In 2019 I opened The Memory Clinic in conjunction with Harbour Bay Hospital in Simons town. This service was suspended during COVID when I found myself stuck in the USA during lockdown and where I now live full-time with my husband, two children and a dog named Squiggles. Since 2020 I have been working with Next Steps Academy to develop high-quality online seminars for psychologists and educators. Since 2020 I have been a full-time artist and mother.
