I am the Park Manager of Moose Mountain Provincial Park, one of Saskatchewan's original six provincial parks. Out of 35 Saskatchewan provincial parks, Moose Mountain is #1 for cottage leases (at 450), #2 in revenue generating and 3rd in land area mass at just under 100,000 acres. I manage a combined budget of 1.6 million in expenditures and have met, and exceeded, revenue targets annually. It is a year round park that hosts upwards of 350,000+ visitors per year. In addition to Moose Mountain park, I manage Cannington Manor Historic Provincial Park and a number of "Protected Areas," "Historic sites," and/or "Regional Parks." In addition to three Institutional Church Camps, there are nine commercial businesses in the park that operate by way of a Commercial Lease. Moose Mountain is a 4-season park, boasting some of the best cross-country ski trails (50+ kms) in the province as well as snowmobile (100 kms) and snowshoe trails. We have approximately 50 staff during the summer that reduces to 10 in the winter.
