• Facilitated meetings with senior leadership (SES/Flag Officers) to identify process efficiencies at the Command level, which resulted in identifying 28 improvement areas with a potential savings of over $500M.• Provided strategic advisory services in support of Fleet Readiness Center Mid-Atlantic. Conducted an analysis of the CPI maturity level at 5 different sites and established specific objectives and a plan for maturing the CPI culture throughout the organization.• Collaborated in the development of a new approach to teaching Green Belt classes that used actual processes from an organization for mapping and improvement. Class conducted for Squadron (military/civilian/contractor employees ) resulted in 2/3 reduction in cycle time to repair. "The Green Belt Training was the tipping point for a cultural shift at HX-21. My duties as a Contract Specialist/Team Lead required me to: counsel and coach team members; use written and oral communication to facilitate negotiations and build coalitions between various parties; use statistical/mathematical analysis to evaluate proposals; and use business acumen such as my understanding of financial management systems as well as procurement policies and procedures, to counsel the Program Manager in the acquisition planning phase. Using expert knowledge of federal acquisition regulations, I was responsible for interpreting, developing, maintaining and promulgating Navy acquisition policy as it relates to the NAVAIR mission, objectives and goals.
