Mondello Park is an international motorsport venue located in County Kildare. €3.5 turnover 13 employees. Recruited as Financial Accountant, responsible for financial and management reporting, including Board reports, and supporting the Executive team with business planning.  Report to Managing Director and manage an Accounts Assistant.  Lead on cash flow reporting, budgeting and forecasting, supporting the Operational team.  Responsible for monthly deferred income calculations relating to “track day “gift vouchers.  Prepare year end external audit, statutory returns and revenue reporting to Tax Office. Key Projects & Achievements: Improved controls processes used to manage the high volume of cash payments on race days, developed controls around cash floats, tickets, income reconciliation and banking of the cash.  Streamlined monthly management reporting pack, increasing depth of data, whilst improving format. Implemented improved processes to manage the control of 6,000+ “track day” vouchers.  Delivered detailed audit preparation for External Auditors, resulting in a reduction in audit processing time of 50%, and a recommendation by Auditors that a bonus should be awarded.

Kepak is a global, privately owned FMCG food manufacturing company. Turnover €1bn.  Responsible for production of weekly and monthly management accounts for Shared Services and Frozen Foods division. Reported to Shared Services Finance Manager and Group Finance Director. Delivered consolidated reporting for budgeted sales against actuals and analysis by category and division, including distribution, marketing, selling and administration costs.  Prepared monthly marketing spend report and month end finance pack for Head Office.

Indi Entertainment was a privately owned CD/DVD distribution company which went into administration in 2015. €9m turnover and 44 employees. Appointed as Management Accountant and promoted to Finance Manager after 18 months. Responsible for full financial and management reporting, business partnering with the Senior Management team.  Led and developed a team of 4 Finance staff and reported to Managing Director/Owner.  Provided financial, commercial and strategic support to the business planning process Oversaw annual budget preparation process, supporting non-Finance managers and gaining support from the key stakeholders.  Delivered month end balance sheet review with commentary for the Management team, including monthly stock valuation, variances against budget and P&L review.  Prepared income and expense forecasts, including weekly cash flow review, to support management of debtor financing facility with Bank of Scotland. Managed key relationships with external parties including banks and External Auditors.  Provided payroll and HR services across all business functions, including recruitment, disciplinary procedures and performance management. Key Projects & Achievements: Reviewed new and existing business models, including capital appropriation requests.  Implemented integrated finance system, managed the selection process and implementation, resulting in improved real time reporting for the management team and a reduction in manual processing.  Managed all company wind-up activities, working with liquidators to complete the process and deliver communications to the staff regarding their redundancies.  Successfully passed 2 external revenue audits with no queries.  Led merger with a distribution company, managed integration of data, stock and customer accounts.
