Preparation of specimens, including any pre-analytical procedures, to be sent to the different departments within Abbott Pathology (Haematology, Biochemistry and Microbiology) and other Labs both within South Australia and Interstate are an important part of this role to ensure that the specimens are processed quickly and properly. Problem solving, following up with Collectors and/or Drs when there are problems with the specimens is something that is done regularly. OHSW, including using dangerous goods, is a large component in this type of work and strict guidelines are followed. On-going training is done on-site and on-line as needed. Show less
