Research, develop and coordinate professional development for adult education instructors, facilitators, and tutors in Rhode Island.

• Provide program leadership, supervision, scheduling, and management of all ABE professional development assessment priority area activities and personnel including workload, budget and fiscal oversight, organizational management and coordination• Establish and maintain partnerships with nine other SABES professional development centers and develop strong relationships with ABE programs throughout Massachusetts• Principal Investigator and primary contact person to ESE-ACLS• Deliver and develop assessment trainings to teachers. Trainings include: BEST Plus, TABE CLAS-E, TABE 9/10 and Literacy, and Massachusetts Adult Proficiency Test (MAPT)• Provide one-on-one technical assistance to teachers, assess competency, maintain confidentiality, and provide program support in the assessment priority area for ABE teachers, advisors and other program staff• Hire consultant trainers, then oversee and coordinate training delivered by them• Work with a psychometrician to oversee required standardized assessment trainings and the development and delivery of formative assessment trainings for ABE practitioners• Write grants and reports to fund SABES work and meet the college’s report requirements• Participate on statewide committees and meet with ESE-ACLS staff • Responsible for institutional accountability and collaboration with others at the college • Provide research-based support to ABE programs • Plan and coordinate college awareness programs, College for a Day, for adult basic education students and teachers• Participate on Bristol Community College committees • Lead reading content area initiative and professional standards work under the SABES regional support system• Lead professional development trainings on learning disabilities and curriculum under SABES regional system

Consult intermittently on evaluations. Conduct interviews and focus groups with district staff, school personnel, parents, and students. Provide qualitative data analysis.

Provided foundational support to multiple pre-K through 16 education research and evaluation projects by maintaining ongoing communication with clients and project teams. Managed schedule of data collection and organization of data across multiple projects and conducted data collection: interviews, classroom observations, focus groups. Developed and implemented various tools including research instruments and online Moodle site. Trained project staff on data collection and data management. Conducted qualitative data analysis and contributed to evaluation reports including fidelity scoring and report writing for randomized control trial project.

Partnered with private, non-profit, local, state, and federal government initiatives on adult literacy, school-to-career programs in public schools, and workforce development to improve teamwork and create career opportunities and diversity for underserved populations in the workplace. Developed and analyzed assessments and designed curriculum based on results. Designed and facilitated occupational site audit trainings while serving as the primary contact with clients. Developed work scopes, managed budgets, participated in writing for new work. Developed and presented presentations for conferences and authored articles on successful strategies for building school-to-career initiatives.

Recruited hospital departments to implement middle and high school career internship programs for Boston Public School students within the hospital which facilitated job opportunities and mentor relationships with established healthcare professionals.
