 Sees to it that all letter of application (LOA) either external warehouse, direct deliveries, transfers are updated in a monthly basis and renews if there are documents nearing expiration. Signs the PEZA documents as an approver for every shipment as scheduled such as imports or exports. Closely monitoring of incoming shipment specially those considered urgent for production use. Provides update on an hourly basis of shipment status upon release in port areas. Updates general LOA in an annual basis based on the average quantity and amount of the last three months of the year. Assists with scrap haulers documentation in the absence of logistics assistants. Assists also in PEZA document signing in the absence of Impex assistant. Prepares documentation in advance for every FG shipment to customers to avoid shipment delay or airline off-loading. Coordinates with forwarders all shipment booking. Communicates with PEZA / BOC if there are issues with the company in terms of material pull-out.  Perform other tasks as may be assigned by his/her superior. Member of Legal Group under SUPPLY CHAIN, support for the needed requirements for Purchasing areas (from start up until end). Processing, settlement and negotiating for pending transactions.

Designs and implements systematic purchasing systems of the company. Determines all possible suppliers of materials, equipment or supplies based on company’s requirements and specifications provided by the requisitioning group. Interfaces with both local and foreign vendors through telephone, telexes, facsimiles in negotiating prices and terms including after-sales services, warranties, delivery arrangements and manner of payment. Acts as liaison between the vendor and the company’s internal users by gathering information such as technical details, prevailing market conditions and latest innovations for items to be purchased. Coordinates any after-sales activities that may be necessary. Monitors and present to immediate superior a regular evaluation of the suppliers’ compliance with delivery schedules, pricing, discount schemes, and the quality of materials. Recommends to the department concerned possible substitutes for available or unavailable materials, parts and supplies and continuously source the best supplier which can best serve the company’s minimum requirements geared towards developing a long term business partnership. Coordinates with other departments regarding the requirements in completing any transactions related to each purchase such as Letter of Credit preparations, cargo releasing and in case of rejected items, materials review. Initiates corrective action on day to day problems that may arise as well as major problems directly or indirectly caused by the vendor. Evaluates quotations and recommends award to reliable bidders with the lowest price in conformity with the company’s procurement specifications. Performs other duties as may be assigned.
