I am a pediatric audiologist with 35+ years working with infants and children with hearing loss. With advanced degrees in both audiology and auditory / oral teaching of the deaf, I have provided diagnostic assessment, hearing aid fitting, cochlear implant programming, and aural habilitation services to patients with prelingual hearing loss. As a pediatric audiologist at Project TALK and a faculty member in the Speech Language Pathology department at California State University-San Marco, I have worked to educate others about the effects of prelingual hearing loss and advocate for optimal services for all those patients. Because of this, Project TALK has become known nationally and internationally as a second (or third or fourth . . . ) opinion center which assists children with hearing loss for are struggling. I am a frequent lecturer at national and internal conferences and chapter contributor to a number of textbooks. My first complete textbook, From Listening to Language, edited with Jane Madell, Ph.D. was published in August 2022.
