I am a mission-focused leader and a systems thinker capable of driving transformational change at the strategic and tactical level with a record of building world class organizations. My greatest strength lies is my ability to build, develop, inspire, and lead teams, and to bring diverse groups together to collaborate and solve complex problems. For the last fifteen years I have been able to sustain two careers. As a clinical leader, I have been at the forefront of building best-in-class cardiac programs and have held leadership roles at two of the top hospitals in the world for this kind of care - The Royal Brompton Hospital in London, UK and Boston Children’s Hospital. In both places, I have leveraged research, data analytics, technology and collaboration to improve patient outcomes and resource utilization. After 9/11, I co-founded a global NGO called Virtue Foundation (www.virtuefoundation.org) to bring a more surgical and business approach to tackling issues around healthcare, education, and justice reform in places with the greatest need. Since Virtue’s founding, I and my team, along with an incredible network of volunteers, partners, and corporate sponsors, have delivered diverse impact from providing 6th graders across the state of Louisiana technology and technology education post- Katrina to delivering key medical training, services, and other support to countries like Ghana, Mongolia, and El Salvador. As a sought after thought leader and speaker, I have presented widely including at Davos in 2015 and served as an Official Delegate as part of Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s state trip to China in 2012. I am always interested in connecting with other leaders, influencers, and change agents who believe in using the power of imagination, innovation, and collaboration to create impact.
