I didn't realize my day job was my life's purpose in disguise.With a successful career in audit, risk management and compliance, I gained extensive knowledge and experience of the firm's operations.However, it was the opportunity to create a new business unit and change how business was being conducted for people with disabilities that changed my career outlook forever. Creating a corporate business unit over a five year period resulted in significantly enhancing products, services, technology and behavior across the organization for this segment of the population.My entrepreneurial spirit was tapped and there was no looking back.When the corporate focus expanded to specifically support military initiatives, the skills I possessed made me attractive to this new business unit. I was offered and eagerly accepted the position to collaboratively redefine the tech curriculum at universities, in order that Military/Veterans could receive industry recognized certifications and land jobs, all without using their GI bill.I am known for being creatively inquisitive and once I began supporting underrepresented constituents, I realized I had a "calling" and not just a career.The economic downturn in 2008 motivated me to realize another dimension to life, wherein I became a certified Spiritual Director, companioning others in defining the discernment of their life's calling.That realization lead me to accept my current position wherein I can promote an understanding of Church teachings through prayer, education, and outreach to the faithful and those interested in deepening their relationship with the Divine.
