-It has been my good fortune to have earned a Brown University degree in American Civilization and a certificate in the Negotiation Course at Harvard Law School. During the late 1970's, I was employed at Brown: first as the Librarian in the Career Development Department and then as a Researcher in the Development Office. Before I began my Management Consulting practice, McMaster Associates in 1995, my professional experiences ranged from teaching fourth grade gifted children in Greensboro, NC, to serving as the Coordinator for the Department of Ministry at the NE Baptist Hospital.-I have also been extremely fortunate in my volunteer experiences, serving at both the local officer level and the international council level for the Association of Junior Leagues, International. I have served in several officer positions w/the East Bay-Newport branch of AAUW including President and chaired the Annual Women Authors Luncheon for several years, always a very successful fund-raiser! I have served as the Librarian at Phillips Memorial Baptist for the past several years and initiated a "Local Author Series" program that has featured such Guest Authors as Ann Hood, Eve LaPlante, Dr. Timothy Johnson, Dr. Patrick Conley, Governor Chafee and others.-My most recent volunteer position has been as President of the Brown Alumnae Club of Kent County. I have just completed my four year term as President of this club. We held a Gala 65th Anniversary Luncheon in April w/President Christina Paxson as our Guest of Honor. President Paxson brought the congratulations of the university on this auspicious occasion and thanked the club for its donation of more than $20,000.-since 2001 to women Brown students. This was a wonderful event!-I am beginning my thirteenth year as a Council member of the Pembroke Center Associates.-In all of these endeavors, I have worked w/wonderful and enterprising associates and friends! -Most recently, I have served a three year term on the Board of Directors for the Circle of Scholars, a Salve Regina University adult learning community w/over 700 member! A spectrum of courses taught by scientists, judges, doctors, and Naval War College staff on enlightening and thought-provoking topics! Most worthwhile and lasting friendships!
