Throughout these years I have trained as a political scientist at the Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona after having completed its degree in Political and Administration Sciences (2014-2018). Also, I have been taking the master's program in International Relations, Security and Development at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), where, at the moment, I am finishing my master’s thesis which is entitled: Latvian Foreign and Security Policy before the Russian irredentist speech to the post-Soviet space (2014-2018). It carries out a theoretical analysis of neoclassical realism applied to the context of the post-Soviet space and more specifically for the Latvian case. Furthermore, I collaborate externally and voluntarily with the East Asian Research and Studies Centre (CERAO-UAB). I have been a fellow of the government of Japan for the 2019 edition of the MIRAI program, related to public diplomacy, offered by the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and within the group of politics and security.My academic interests are focused on the study of public and cultural diplomacy, foreign policy, theories of international relations and human security. Focusing on the regions of East Asia, specifically Japan, and the post-Soviet space, emphasising on the Baltic countries, also dealing with issues of applied human security in Latin America.
