(December 2013 – February 2014)•Provided Project Management services to manage Aspera resources for their product, SmartTrack, implementations. The software application manages software license compliance for all environments for installed software against software entitlements, contract terms and license requirements. •Created and managed the project plan for Aspera resources, customer implementations, including working with the third party distributor, CA.

• Develop and implement category strategies for the category of IT Software – consisting of managing the categories for Infrastructure, Application Development, Security, Middleware and Database, Applications, Desktop and other tools.• Develop a playbook that outlines the business areas within the category and their key priorities.• Delivered over $13M in savings through various initiatives. • Conduct market analysis for new suppliers, consolidate and reduce suppliers, industry trends, competitive intelligence, and best practices for the category. • Act as a point of contact for key stakeholders and different lines of business, to educate and influence business decisions as it relates to procurement and supply chain activities.

•Managed a team of 9 Sourcing Specialists and Analysts in various locations. Involved the entire IT Portfolio and Advertising, Media, Marketing and Communications Portfolio. The Analysts process all purchase orders for OLG. •Involved in the modernization and implementation for the overall Procurement department. •Led the Strategic Sourcing Initiative, with a core team, to develop a process, sourcing strategy for all categories with the stakeholders and business users.

• Redesigned and updated the Sourcing Request for Proposal (RFP) document and Request for Quote (RFQ). • Led multiple RFx sourcing initiatives, main focus IT, with a Global/North American focus (e.g. telephony, data, wireless, financial planning tool), which reduced costs and minimized contract risk to DE.• Negotiated several large IT Enterprise Software Agreements achieving significant savings of $1.5M+, delivering projects on time and on budget. Overall achieved savings of $9M and obtained favourable terms and conditions, reduced exposures, on high risk software license agreements. • Performed an assessment for business requirements, issued an RFP and developed a business case in order to implement an Enterprise Contract Management application for DE, allowing for a centralized location for all 'buy-side' contracts which reduced operational, legal and financial risk.• Developed a Vendor Scorecard and Dashboard for governance and compliance for Strategic suppliers. • Designed a contract toolkit which includes: contract scorecard, new and revised contract templates, checklists and alternate clauses. • Successfully managed a team of 8 people responsible for IS purchasing, sourcing of goods and services for ~$110 million+ operating budget.• Managed the IS Contracts and software/hardware assets from cradle to grave allowing for reduced spending by redeployment of existing assets, ensured software license compliance, resolved vendor disputes and improved vendor and business relationship. Received the highest rating from Microsoft Canada for software governance, compliance and processes pertaining to software asset management processes, practices and disciplines. • Implemented procurement best practices for IS by issuing Purchase Orders, workflow approvals; and improved processes for financial system. This ensured preferred vendors were engaged, reduced spending, captured spend by correct category and proper approvals were provided for expenses. • Developed IS Mandatory Business Terms, IS Contractor/Services Policy and IS Wireless Policy which reduced operational and financial risk. • Designed a contract toolkit which included: new and revised contract templates, checklists and alternate clauses. This provides for consistent terms and conditions, reduce legal risks, maximize benefits to DE and improve processes with legal department to gain efficiencies.• Annually monitored contracts and maintenance and support renewals per terms and conditions and renegotiated pricing reducing expenses by ~$1M.

• Developed a new function, Enterprise Contract Management (ECM), in relation to best practices for contract management, with the intial focus on IT contracts (hardware, software, services, telecommunications and outsourcing) for the Bank. Developed business processes, identified linkages and required resources (people and tools) within ECM and other major functions in order to clearly define roles and responsibilities. • Designed a contract toolkit which included: contract scorecard, new and revised contract templates, checklists and alternate clauses. This provided consistent terms and conditions and reduced legal risks while maximizing benefits to the Bank.• Led the implementation of a contract management application in support of a centralized contract management function. This involved business case approval, configuration of the application, establishing data entry standards for business reporting purposes and overseeing the data entry for 900+ Software License Agreements.• Negotiated several large enterprise software agreements achieving significant savings of $12 million+ and projects were on time and on budget. Obtained many favourable terms and conditions, reducing exposures on typically high risk contracts such as software license agreements.

• Created and implemented a new function, Software Asset Management department within TDBFG to centralize the negotiating/purchasing/contract/asset/vendor process for all software platforms and create a focus on software as an asset. Managed a team of six staff which consisted of in excess of 40 contracts at any one time with varying degrees of complexity and a portfolio covering over 300+ vendors. Prepared the annual software infrastructure operating budget and forecasts for the IT Software Portfolio.• Developed and implemented procedures and processes to manage software assets/contracts/vendors which ensured the Bank was compliant with licensing terms and conditions. Built the subject matter expertise in licensing terminology and legal terms/conditions. Developed standard terms and created software and non-disclosure contract templates to provide a high degree of protection for the Bank while allowing maximum flexibility and providing potential savings from vendors. Developed and implemented RFP procedures and processes for acquiring IT acquistions. Established metrics and monitored contracts for very large complex long term IT business deals. • Negotiated and analyzed the merits of software proposals from vendors and made recommendations to senior executives for approval. Achieved savings in excess of $90 million since the inception of the department, approximating 10%-60% savings per deal. • Project managed an IT Contract/Vendor/Asset Management inititative which included: developing a core team to gather business requirements, reviewing vendor solutions, selecting a solution for a proof-of-concept, and building the business case for executive approval and sign-off. Obtained approval in 2003-2004 for the solution to manage the contracts, assets, vendor and financial information. The applicaton has since been successfully implemented based on a projected net savings of $6 million over five years. Project was on time and within budget.
