The United Nations Volunteers (UNV) programme promotes peace and development through volunteerism worldwide. As a UNV, my duties included monitoring the political environment, implementing civic and voter education programs, training observers, observing polling, and collecting and analyzing data throughout the election process. The key achievements included promoting democratic values and principles, ensuring free and fair elections, facilitating peaceful and inclusive elections, building the capacity of local observers, and providing recommendations for electoral reform.
