I am currently a Senior Data Scientist at the Met Office Informatics Lab / Joint Centre of Excellence for Environmental Intelligence (JCEEI), focusing on embedding machine learning and artificial intelligence in meteorological products and services.So far, I have led two projects in different areas of Environmental Sciences:- Decision Support under Climate Uncertainty for Energy Security and Net ZeroI acted as the JCEEI Science Lead, delivering statistical and machine learning approaches to temporal downscaling winds. The work has been presented at the International Conference Energy & Meteorology 2023 (#ICEM2023) and the ECMWF-ESA Workshop on Machine Learning for Earth Observation and Prediction (#AIforEOWS #ml4esop). This project was funded by the Alan Turing Institute Towards 2.0.- Air Quality Digital TwinsI acted as the Scientific Systems Manager / Product Owner, leading a multi-disciplinary team to develop a prototype digital service that reliably replicates air quality and personal exposures to pollutants.
