I've worked for over twenty years as a UX Designer and Innovation Research Specialist. Since 2015, I have been studying Consumer Neuroscience (Neuromarketing) at Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (UFMG) and applying this knowledge to my research and design skills as a consultant.Before that, I worked at Positivo Informática as a User Experience Specialist in the Human Lab, where we gathered information and analyzed the behavior of the primary product users (Brazilian middle class) and apply to innovation and product development projects.During 2004-2011 I had the opportunity to head up the English company Fhios (www.fhios.com) as partner and manager in Brazil. I worked on hundreds of projects for major national and international companies in different segments. The activities involved Project and Team Management and Client and Vendor Relationships.The project goals were to perform research and design of interfaces / digital media, involving different methodologies (face-to-face and remote) including usability testing, eye-tracking, focus groups, card sorting, interviews, online surveys, etc., and also the development of Information Architecture, thus encompassing all stages of the User Experience project lifecycle.Prior to joining fhios:brazil, I completed a Masters in Hypermedia Studies at the University of Westminster, England (2001), with a final essay on convergence media/streaming video / social inclusion and activism. I have also taught digital media (UNI-BH) and interaction design (PUC-MG) at a postgraduate level and other undergraduate courses. My original degree was in Architecture and Urbanism (UFMG), which allowed me to develop skills in designing, planning, and mapping different kinds of spaces.
