In 2022, I completed my Ph.D. in Molecular and Environmental Biology at the University of Minho, specialization Cell Biology and Health, involving 2 host research centers: CBMA-UM and CIMA-UNAV (ES). My research led to a greater understanding of the role of N-terminal acetylation and the degradation pathways on apoptosis regulation. After completion of my Ph.D., I was awarded a master's fellowship and I’ve been working in the WINE-TUNNING project, which aims to identify novel yeast strains and methods to overcome emergent challenges in wine production. Attending and organizing several scientific meetings has increased my ability to communicate science to audiences with different backgrounds, and has contributed to my personal and professional enrichment by strengthening my scientific and soft skills (ability to manage stress and pressure, problem-solving, responsibility, organization and management).
