Edicare is a Portuguese publisher dedicated to developing products for children. With a focus on books and games for them, Edicare has a design department in-house, which I am currently coordinating. The main skills I have acquired within the company are:• Development of books and games from concept to final product, which involves illustration, graphic design and final artwork. Among the types of products developed are board books, cloth books, sound books, bath books, slider books, accordion books, flap books, wipe and clean books, card games, stickers, puzzles, etc…);• Creation of packaging and typography;• Development of stationery lines;• Layout and preparation files for co-edition;• Brand design (Edicare logo, Didatic by Edicare and logotypes for book collections);• Design of all types of graphic materials on paper and digital (ex. catalogues, flyers, brochures, banners, newslleters...);• Stand decoration design (Lisbon and Oporto Book Fairs / Bologna Book Fair / Frankfurt Book Fair);• Photography and image editing;• Merchandising products;• Team management (Actively participate in brainstorming creative solutions, project planning, working to briefs and meeting deadlines);• Communication with illustrators and designers external to the company.• Production tracking and liaising with various suppliers to manage budgets and project execution;• Communication with major national and international print companies;• Very good knowledge of common graphics programs (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and MS Office applications.My books have been sold in Foreign rights to several countries, including Spain, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, South Korea and Mexico.

Internship
