PhD project in predictive adaptive optics control for free space optical communication feederlinks. I am synthesising Linear Quadratic Gaussian Regulators, that feature Kalman Filtering for phase prediction, in order to achieve a robust control solution capable of performing under strong scintillation scenarios. I have participated in several measurement campaigns involving AO systems, including campaigns with satellite links where I have lead AO operation from the Coude room of the Optical Ground Station at the Institute for Communication and Navigation.
