After 12 years at a large accounting and consulting firm and one year working in information technology at IDOT, I joined Kestrel Management to go back to the consulting work I love. Kestrel provided environmental consulting, including an independent gap analysis for food safety audits - FSSC 22000, BRC, SQF, IFS. We worked to assure their processes, Internal Audit standards, HACCP plans and documentation are current to meet the latest GFSI requirements. We also performed Gap Analysis reviews for OSHA standards and for security. I recently achieved my Internal Audit certification. That position was, unfortunately, eliminated.

Worked on several software implementations for the newly created Center of Excellence, including work with the Department of Corrections and Workers Compensation. We were working with MS CRM system and languages. The CoE was working to bring business process improvement methodologies to the State of Illinois

I performed dozens of IT ERP Software Evaluations, Selection and Implementation Oversight, including data cleanup, for a variety of organizations including local governments, associations, and manufacturing & distribution businesses. I have performed IT Assessments for manufacturing and distribution companies consisting of IT analyses in both the financial and the operations areas. Critical weaknesses were identified, with Gap analyses to Best Practices provided with prioritized recommendations. I participated in Business Process Improvement Reviews for a publishing company involving BPI training, sessions conducted with a cross-functional team, re-design and implementation of processes. Performed an Assessment of Accounting Procedures for a rental company to identify compliance issues for an ongoing internal control study. As-is procedures were mapped and reviewed.
