I practice person-centered therapy along with DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), Expressive Arts Therapy, Mindfulness-Based and Solution-Focused techniques. Improving our capacity to experience each moment more fully through awareness, can be a way to help us act more consistently with what really matters. Practicing awareness can also emphasize and validate our acceptance of ourselves and others, and bring to the surface and give us permission to look at uncomfortable feelings or thoughts we sometimes have - rather than avoiding, struggling with or rejecting them. Letting go of old patterns can give us the freedom to allow for change to occur. My direction in therapy is to strive for personal growth in a positive direction. This lends itself to giving us more freedom to be ourselves which in turn increases self-confidence so we can forge ahead and live a better quality life.
Listed skills include Dbt, Crisis Intervention, Developmental Disabilities, Behavioral Health, and 46 others.
