In 2015, the Thomas Jefferson Foundation launched its first mobile app, "Slavery at Monticello: Life & Work on Mulberry Row." The app presents the moving stories of Monticello's enslaved men and women and explores broader themes, such as resistance, racial identity, and daily life. I joined a team of content experts, educators, digital media specialists, and mobile developers to shape the app’s scope, creative direction, and structure. I planned and led meetings, devised agendas, and documented decisions.I spearheaded production of all content: Interviewed and recorded historians, descendants, guides, and other experts for audio and video features. Wrote, edited, and proofed copy for timelines, slideshows, and interactive features. Researched images. Shepherded 100 pages of written content, 60 audio segments, 15 videos, and hundreds of images through a rigorous internal review process. Managed files on a custom CMS with extensive testing and revision.
