As a senior member of Lutron's UX team, I played a major role in the research projects we took on as well as how we scaled and grew our capabilities:• Led generative and evaluative research projects for all areas of the business• Worked with stakeholders to understand project needs and prioritize backlog• Managed and mentored junior researchers and designers• Led recruiting efforts at the university and experienced level• Designed and oversaw UX internship program• Proactively identified and championed projects to help the UX team scale and increase efficiency, including the development of processes and templates for user recruiting, project planning, presentations, onboarding, and more

Worked across Lutron's global sales organization to evaluate, develop, and implement the strategic direction for the sales team's use of Salesforce.com. The projects I led in this role enabled to the sales team to:• Track complex commercial sales opportunities from leads to orders for the first time• Move away from spreadsheets for pipeline management, saving weeks of manual data entry time each month There is now an entire team dedicated to supporting the Salesforce platform.

Studied how marketing, product management, and sales teams were working and communicating with one another to identify major pain points and areas for improvement. Worked collaboratively with marketing, product management, and web teams to:• Streamline communication to the sales team into one weekly bulletin• Consolidate all marketing and sales tools into one central location• Lead all change management efforts and hand off process ownershipThis strategy is still being used today.

Became the go-to guide to provide tours and demos of Lutron’s products for high profile clients and guests at the company’s headquarters. Wrote the playbook for giving tours and trained other guides.

Built deep relationships with Lutron's residential sales team and worked with them to get to know various residential personas and their needs. Developed pitch, messaging, marketing tools, and training to launch a new sales channel through residential security product distributors. Eventually led all distribution channel marketing efforts and managed our participation and booth development for major industry trade shows.
