PhotographerJoan Leong Photography Jan 2009 - PresentI specialise in corporate, production on-set and lifestyle photography. I was a photojournalist with ‘The New Paper’ and a stringer for the American news agency, ‘The Associated Press’. I also volunteer with the international remembrance photography movement, ‘Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep’. We help parents photograph their babies who have passed on or are dying at birth, to help them through the grieving process. I spoke about my experience as a remembrance photographer at a TEDx event in 2018, and have been profiled in the media for this specialised subset of photography.In 2016, I was invited to showcase my work at the Leica X-hibition, entitled ‘Little People’ series, offering an arm’s length perspective on the seemingly inconsequential everyday moments in life. I am also the first female Leica instructor in Singapore. -
