As Director of Member Services at HACU, my role is to carry out the day-to-day activities as they relate to the recruitment and retention of national HACU-member institutions and affiliates consistent with established goals, objectives, scope, budget and policies. In addition, create long term strategies that increase recruitment, retention and enhance the benefits to members. ● Develop and implement an annual, cost efficient and tactical plan for recruitment and retention for all national members.● Analyze, assess and report on membership growth, retention, and statistical data.● Manage memberships with over 450 higher education institutions, school districts, and individual members serving as their advocate for issues of concern and providing higher education updates.● Construct recruitment blueprint for the year that includes print and online materials plus, focused sales cold calls to generate potential leads for membership and conference presenters.● Collaborate with marketing, development and student services departments to plan and execute new initiatives to increase and retain memberships.● Creation of the HACU Webinar Series that brings best practices of HACU member institutions to the forefront and delivers insights into HACU member benefits. ● Prepare department reports on a monthly, bi-annual and annual basis. These reports are examined by the organization president and governing board that consists of college and university presidents and chancellors.● Organize and execute membership meetings at annual conferences where college and university presidents and their representatives attend to discuss the status of HACU and higher education concerns for Hispanic students.● Coordinate all logistics for planning and implementation of the annual Dean’s Forum, a half day forum for deans to discuss issues and opportunities for the academic success of Hispanic students in higher education.

As the Director of Partnerships at New Futuro, my role included the development and cultivation of cross-sector collaborations between national and Texas statewide schools, community based organizations, higher education institutions, and government associations to guide students and parents through the college-going process and increase Latino college attainment.● Designed and implemented tactical partnership initiatives that drove more than 80 successful Latino education programs, projects and events that impacted over 20K families and students.● Monitored partner needs throughout the entire life-cycle of the relationship by applying qualitative and quantitative satisfaction metrics to ensure significant value for partners.● Supervised partnership scope of work to ensure collaboration occurred on multiple levels including content, subject matter experts, Latino heroes, social media, resources, events and other areas as part of a continuous assessment process.● Obtained, consolidated and synthesized findings from the regional and translated them into practical recommendationsregarding platform functionality and other service related issues.● Coordinated with local school district administrators to implement the Road to College Program, a college readiness initiative for high school parents and students in Spanish and English in the Houston area.● Established a New Futuro Regional Advisory Council made up of 12 highly influential partners in K-12, non-profit, higher education, corporate and government leaders.
