Empowering kids with digital skills to create their own technology is my passion! I am a driven business owner dedicated to teaching kids coding, electronics and robotics skills so they can become innovators and inventors of technology in the future.Children today are growing up in a digital world, using technology in their everyday lives. I teach kids to be creative with that technology, and not just consumers of it.I run coding lessons both online and in-person, focusing on kids aged 8 to 13 years. I am passionate about demystifying the world of computer science and coding for kids, and opening their minds to the endless possibilities coding provides. I am particularly passionate about educating GIRLS in coding and STEM subjects. I run girls coding, electronics and robotics events every year, to encourage them to embrace technology and break the myth that it's just for boys!I worked in the IT industry for over 12 years, and took a career break to focus on my family. I volunteered at CoderDojo as a coding instructor for 3 years, and I have been teaching coding in schools and in camps and workshops since 2018. In 2021, I setup TheCodeLab.ie to move my coding lessons online and extend my reach so kids in schools and at home all across Ireland can benefit from coding skills.
