• Responsible for the extracting, loading and validation of data from ECMC’s main database to the Financial Planning and Analysis Department’s daily and monthly snapshot databases. Maintain databases with updating tables, stored procedures and load processes as necessary.• Analyzes existing reports and programs to make adjustments, to correct or enhance functionality or to adapt to changing requirements• Develops and implements reports and queries to drive business processes• Identifies and develops solutions to streamline business processes to achieve departmental and company-wide goals more effectively and efficiently• Obtains a thorough understanding of the ECMC’s various databases and data exchange processes to support the business; understanding data flow and core data elements• Translates business functional requirements into technical specifications for operational, analytical, dashboard and scorecard reporting• Participates in the analysis of end user requirements and business rule, documentation and works closely with IT leads, database developers and business analysts• Supports the business side of IT projects through system design, development, testing and implementation• Involved with the conversions of 14 guaranty agencies’ 61 million loans portfolios by using Informatica process to load the loans from a SQL server database to an Oracle database. Mapped the data from agencies’ systems to ECMC’s data format. Scrubbed the data for data integrity before loading to ECMC’s System. • Provides technical and business knowledge to the team through training on database structures, SQL writing and how to effectively explore, analyze and visualize data, as well as how to communicate and tell stories through data • Extensively used SQL for accessing and manipulating database systems for providing ad-hoc reports for upper management and business units based on $41 billion portfolios of loans (Pre-Post and Post-Default student loans).
