At Mitsui Sumitomo, I manage company and producer licensing and registrations nationwide for all MSIG entities. As a member of the General Counsel Department, I also supervise corporate/regulatory filings and governance documents, and oversee communication of legislative and regulatory developments impacting commercial property and casualty insurance lines of business.Key responsibilities include:► Manage all licenses and registrations for business operations countrywide including insurance company licenses, line of business authorizations for insurers, claim adjuster licenses, Third Party Administrator (TPA) licenses, producer licenses and surplus lines licenses.► Research complex business and compliance issues; prepare documents including corporate/regulatory filings.► Monitor legislative and regulatory developments affecting insurance industry operations and prepare and distribute written summaries of changing laws or regulations. Distribute relevant communications from State Insurance Departments and other organizations to affected business units. ► Manage, disseminate and serve as point of contact between business units and external constituencies for requests from State Insurance Departments and other regulators (e.g. business continuity plans, climate surveys, diversity surveys, insurance department notices and guaranty association proxies). Generate direct responses and work with General Counsel as needed.► Manage disposition of consumer complaints with State Insurance Departments.► Support the Corporate Secretarial/Corporate Governance process (Board and Shareholder meetings, etc.) and prepare corporate governance records.I was recognized with MSIG North America's President's Award in honor of my achievements and contributions to the organization.

After being promoted to Manager – Agency Services for Everest National Insurance, I assumed responsibility for operations of agency appointments nationwide. Here, I implemented programs to promote growth and monitor internal department metrics, adjusting operations when needed. Specifically, during the past 14 years I have:► Supervised the on-boarding, licensing, and appointment strategy for all retail agents and brokers, wholesalers, and Program Administrators for all U.S. operations.► Managed appointment filings and regulatory reporting for U.S.; primary point of contact for all regional offices on Department of Insurance correspondence.► Contributed to developing business requirements and IT specifications with a national vendor for licensing and appointment requirements. Led automation project that resulted in 99% compliance in all 50 states.Prior to my promotion, I directed licensing and appointment activities, including Producer Agreements for all appointed agents and brokers. In addition, I led the implementation of new regional Business Divisions throughout the U.S.

At OneBeacon Insurance Group, I served as the day-to-day relationship manager, risk manager, and consultant for a $20 million book of new and renewal business, including the company’s two largest partner agents. In the course of executing these responsibilities, I worked with agents to understand options that best meet insured needs and negotiated terms and conditions.Notable successes included:► Grew assigned book of business and developed market share of profitable business while protecting company from financial loss through accurate and effective underwriting techniques.► Cultivated and nurtured an agent relationship that led to $13 million in new business within two years; recognized and created cross-sell opportunities for other products.► Recognized with “Think Like an Owner” Award for performance excellence.

As the Personal Lines Underwriter for Chubb Group, my responsibilities included evaluating new and renewal business on a company book of business for high net-worth accounts and Tier 1 agents totaling $20 million. I also reviewed endorsements to determine insurability, maximizing performance, and underwriting results.
