I was integral in the prototype build, field test, data acquisition, and issue tracking for harvest equipment. Developed and executed verification and validation plans incorporating feedback from my multi disciplinary team. In the field, I advocated for the hard working people on family farms by working to understand their unique problems. I modified equipment as conditions changed, listened to ideas and advice from the farmers, and communicated findings to an international team of design engineers. I am proud of the solutions my team developed to help make agriculture financially, environmentally, and ethically sustainable for all.

Backpacking, gaining global perspectives

Was responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of prototypes in the field. Ran tests, recorded results, compiled reports, and communicated technical findings to international design teams.

(Now called Columbia Grain) Assisted in operation management of the world's largest capacity grain elevator operated under one headhouse. Taught safety courses on Lock-Out/Tag-Out, hot work, confined space entry, fall protection, dust management, and chemical handling. Implemented new safety procedures and performed facility inspections. Loaded trucks and rail at Marubeni Corporation's flag ship commodity handling facility.
