In my 26 years in the credit department of Hanesbrands Inc. I have been lucky enough to work my way up to GTS Credit Manager. My speciality is managing "Customer Claims" (payment deductions) for shortages, returns, Vendor Compliance and other misc. type claims. Process improvements is another area of strength.My duties include but are not limited to creating monthly barrel reports, monthly department balancing reports, as well as manage as many as 8 employees. HBI has allowed me to work on the SAP team as lead for the Dispute Management section of SAP, work with IT to implement the return process for the Underwear Division from customer request to issuing the credit (improvement included inventory updates, system generated letter to customer, one system generated order that followed the return from beginning to issuing of credit all with one data entry process.) Successfully handled data collection and analysing Bankruptcy records for court documentation when settling with customers that have filed, served on pricing teams, process improvement teams, customer vendor compliance improvement teams, deduction reduction teams which has saved substantial dollars for the company. One of the largest teams I serviced on consisted of a cross functional team called the X-Team for Wal-Mart. This team gathered information concerning our processes related to order types and accuracy, shipping processes, impact on cash flow and how to improve all noted. This team made substantial improvements in all areas. Just to name a few of the projects completed. HBI has been a great place to work and grow as a person and employee.
