I was employed as a research assistant in Dr. A. Claudio Cuello's laboratory to complete a project on cerebrovascular pathology in the McGill-R-Thy1-APP model of Alzheimer's-like disease. My past work also has included studying the TLR2 and microglial response in Alzheimers-related neuroinflammation. - Received an NSERC Undergraduate Research Award for my research from May-August 2016- Presented a poster at the McGill Pharmacology Undergraduate Research Expo (PURE) (April 4, 2016)- Presented a poster at the 39th International Symposium of the Groupe de recherche sur le système nerveux central (GRSNC), "Dementia and cognition: A vascular perspective" (May 8-9th, 2017). Assisted a group of 18 second year students to understand material for the Dynamic Histology class, including how to identify tissue features, differentiate cell types, and work the microscopes. Prepared teaching aids such as powerpoint presentations, handouts, and flash cards.Worked with professor to design and mark exams and research papers.
