• Leadership of Plan’s Protection from Violence Hub, including direct line management of four staff, management of annual budget, and accountability for the team’s workplan • Providing strategic direction for Plan’s global Protection from Violence agenda, including coordinating the PfV Steering Group comprising of Protection ‘champions’ across the organisations • Leading Plan’s international influencing agenda on child protection and gender-based violence (GBV) and being accountable for progress under the Ending Violence Against Girls Change Goal of Plan’s Global Advocacy Strategy • Representing Plan International in various international spaces on GBV and child protection, • Leading the development of Plan’s global messaging on protection and producing written outputs based on these messages, including external blogs and press releases

• Managed the development of the ‘update and refresh’ of Plan’s Global Advocacy Strategy, including coordinating extensive consultation across the organisation and organising a drafting workshop for 40 colleagues • Coordinated Plan International’s youth engagement in the ICPD+25 process. This involved organising relevant speaking opportunities for youth activists, liaising with UNFPA on safeguarding standards, running a webinar for over 70 young people attending the conference ensuring chaperones and young people were briefed and prepared prior to and during travel, supporting youth activists in their speech preparation • Led the development of Plan’s policy brief on child, early and forced marriage. This involved liaising with colleagues specialising in CEFM across the organisation and undertaking extensive research on the issue to ensure the brief reflected current evidence and best practices • Managed an external team of consultants from a university MSc programme to undertake research on mental health services for survivors of SGBV in humanitarian settings

• Coordinated the development of resources to support Together and its members to advocate for children’s rights in Scotland and the UK. This included consultation repsonses and member briefings providing a child’s rights perspective to proposed policies and laws, including submitting responses to the Scottish Parliament, Scottish Government and UK Government. • Worked with Together’s Director to develop, write and publish the State of Children’s Rights in Scotland reports 2016-2018. • Represented Together at a range of roundtables, meetings and groups to ensure children’s rights are considered in decision-making processes. This included Scottish Government’s ‘Getting it Right for Every Child’ Third Sector Group and the First Minister’s Advisory Group on Women and Girls ‘Circle’ events. • Led on Together’s input to different UN process, including Scotland’s shadow report to the UN Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW) ahead of their review of the UK.• Deputised for Together’s Director when she was unable to attend meetings with decision-makers and/or Together members.
