Markham Culverts Ltd is a manufacturer and supplier of corrugated steel culverts and other Civil Engineering & Construction materials for use in Civil Engineering projects in Papua New Guinea. This role is to support the sales team on technical advises to clients and management of the Sales team in the Port Moresby Branch. My responsibility includes;• Technical and engineering support to Markham Culverts’ clients/customers as well as the sales team within the company. • Prepare and deliver technical presentations explaining products and the benefits to prospective customers especially Engineering and construction firms• Consult with customers and engineers to assess materials needs and to determine system requirements• Collaborate with sales team to understand customer requirements and provide sales support• Recommend improved materials to customers, showing how changes will lower costs and improve quality • Prepare reports for head office and keep customer records• Meet regular sales targets and coordinate sales projects• Design assistance for projects where Markham Culverts products are being used in construction.• Introduction of new products and their Specification into Department of Works Material Handbook• Materials costings, estimation, and quantifications for many of our clients who request for products that Markham Culverts supplies.

I worked as a Graduate Site Engineer with Wildcat Golding Joint Venture on a project constructing 12 single span composite bridges along the West New Britain Highway. The works were spread over 120km and involved piling, earthworks, quarrying, concrete production, FRC structural steelwork and road pavements. Scope of responsibilities included Task planning,Materials stock management, Maintaining site records, Checking supplier invoices against services supplied, Report writing, Supervision, recording and maintaining of quality control for the following site activities - Reinforced concrete for bridge abutments and deck Embankment earthworks construction Installation of Tubular piles (including rebound testing and reaction force calculations for pile capacity) Design and staging of works for open abutment excavations and shoring works.
