As the Senior Consulting Health & Safety Manager, I lead the Consulting Health & Safety Team to facilitate the highest level of workplace safety while providing technical safety and industrial hygiene services for ~700 employees working as consultants. Our consultants perform work focusing on water and the environment primarily through engineering, construction, and remediation projects. I act as the lead technical resource for internal clients in the areas of industrial hygiene and employee safety including the understanding and application of rules, laws, regulations, and company requirements for employees working on consulting projects. I interface with all levels of the company, including Consulting Leadership to influence a robust safety culture, assess risk, and make recommendations about health and safety policy and procedures. I drive implementation of corporate safety programs through the improvement of consulting-wide systems, tools, and procedures and evaluate Health & Safety programs and collaborate within our Health & Safety team to identify gaps company-wide. I manage the development and presentation of training and educations programs across Consulting and develop junior staff presentation competency. I lead the incident evaluation process for consulting and track completion of resulting corrective measures. I identify, analyze, and interpret internal consulting-related safety data to draw conclusions and make recommendations to Senior Leadership.

Manages the health and safety programs and provides health and safety support for engineering, construction, and remediation services consisting of nearly 500 staff. Supports the Corporate Safety Director to effectively implement safety programs and policies for the entire 800+ person company on more than 2500 projects with employees in multiple offices and more than 50 treatment plants across the United States. Provides technical guidance and assistance to strategic business unit management regarding OSHA regulatory requirements and company health and safety programs. Manages the EHS pre-qualification process for all Woodard & Curran contractors. Conducts health, and safety audits to assess compliance on various work projects executed by Woodard & Curran. Plans and conducts audiometric surveys, air monitoring for personal exposure, and related industrial hygiene activities to protect the health of company employees. Develops and reviews project health and safety plans and other safety related project deliverables for Woodard & Curran projects. Develops and presents health and safety training material such as HAZWOPER, hazard communication, project safety planning, and various other programs. Leads the Consulting Services Health and Safety Committee. Serves as a member of the incident evaluation team. Responsible for planning and management of consulting business unit health and safety program annual budgets in excess of $150K.

Health & Safety Consultant supporting clients in various sectors including manufacturing, water and wastewater facilities, remediation sites, universities, museums, and pharmaceutical companies. Perform multimedia environmental, health, and safety compliance audits for manufacturing to evaluate compliance with federal, state, and local laws. Develop health and safety programs for various clients to set up health and safety programs for new facilities and identify and address gaps in existing health and safety programs. Conduct industrial hygiene exposure assessments to evaluate worker exposure to chemicals and noise, including development of a sampling plan, sample collection, and result reporting. Work onsite for various clients as a Health & Safety Manager to develop and implement health and safety programs and policies for manufacturing and pharmaceutical clients. Present and create health and safety training such as HAZWOPER, chemical hygiene, emergency response, fire prevention, personal protective equipment, and ergonomics. Identify and train Emergency Response Teams and develop pandemic response plans. Develop and evaluate health and safety drills and exercises. This includes design of tabletop exercises and full-scale response scenarios including fire, shelter-in-place, mass dispensing, Emergency Response Team, pandemic, and communication.
