I have extensive experience in developing others, as a teacher, trainer, mentor and business coach. My focus is on working virtually, by telephone and online. I work with clients around the world, at all levels and across industries. My background and experience is broad. I started out as an EFL teacher, working mainly in Japan and predominantly teaching one-to-one or in small groups. I worked for many years in higher education, most recently as a lecturer in Managing Change on a BA Counselling Coaching and Mentoring degree. I have also recently worked as a virtual Business English coach and trainer for clients worldwide. My degree is in Business Studies and I have an ongoing interest in organisational behaviour, leadership/management, culture, employee wellbeing and engagement, and managing change.I am student/client-focussed. As a Business Coach I take a non-directive, positive, and humanist approach. My mission is to create better, happier and healthier workplaces for everyone. I believe a key way to achieve this is by selecting, training and developing good managers, and bringing a coaching approach into the workplace. Everyone deserves a coach! My coachees say they value the space I give them to think out loud about their issues. I have been described as calm, friendly, relaxed, patient, positive, empathetic, encouraging and supportive.
