Restructured this real estate education company so it could break even when the recession caused year-to-year revenues to decline by 75%.

Founded the Alliance for Youth Achievement, Inc. to help orphans and street children in eight countries in Africa and Asia. $3.2 million was raised from around the world to fund innovative micro-credit programs, build 55 classrooms, establish a multi-year teacher training program, and help tens of thousands of orphans through partnerships with nonformal schools, group homes, and medical missions.

Ran for Congress in Colorado's Congressional District 6 against Rep. Tom Tancredo. Raised over $800,000 and won the endorsements of three out of four papers in the district, but was not able to overcome the 2-to-1 Republican registration disadvantage in the district.
