Founder, Author And Artist
CurrentHAM is the brainchild of artist and illustrator Jo Ham who gained a BFA Fine Art from Oxford University's Ruskin School of Art. Jo’s work seeks to celebrate the everyday. Informed by her studies and early career in design, she has always been fascinated by popular culture and uses Rabbit to shine a light on life’s simple pleasures - in particular how we interact with one another through work and play. The resulting social commentary creates HAM's happy world, where our daily rituals, likes and hobbies are immortalised in print for all to enjoy.HAM’s debut homeware collection of ceramics and fabrics were first picked up by Liberty and have since been exhibited in London, New York and Paris, featured on the pages of international magazines and resided on the shelves of leading retailers in over thirty countries around the world.HAM has created bespoke Rabbits for The Body Shop, dressed the Rabbits in Moncler for their House of Genius Project, made limited edition artwork for charity Choose Love, designed a giant mural for kids design shop Molly Meg, installed public art for London Design Festival, wrapped a Mini Countryman in Rabbits, styled store windows for retailer West Elm, exhibited at Colette Paris, run a pop-up shop at Topshop's flagship store and created art prints for the cancer charity Maggie's, music charity Secret 7s and the children's charity Rainbow Trust. In 2018, Jo was awarded Natwest's UK Creative Industries Entrepreneur of the Year and in 2019 the Aviva Women of the Future Arts Prize. In 2024 Rabbit was selected for the Royal Academy Summer Show.In 2023, Jo launched her first picture books with Walker Books and Candlewick Press. Ham's third book followed in early 2024, with board books of the series scheduled for 2025.
