    As part of the Enterprise Integration Platform (EIP) team, supported the successful HR/P modernization effort to replace a 35-year-old mainframe system with a cloud-based Workday implementation. Contributed to development of three Spring Boot applications running on Azure servers that retrieve and parse XML-structured data files from Workday and supply text files and data streams to campus partners. • Designed and led two mission-critical integrations with the Department of Retirement Services (DRS) utilizing the EIP framework. Added client connectors to customized UW ServiceNow REST framework, UW Enterprise Document Management REST API and UW Identity Management REST API.• Aided in initial POC and later implementation of transition from MongoDB as a data backend to SQL Server. Re-wrote JavaScript data transformations into T-SQL views and stored procedures. Developed further data transformation scripts and data quality analysis scripts, with associated tSQLt unit tests.• Championed efficient automated testing. Researched and developed tools for mocking third-party services. Coached team members in automated testing best practices.

Collaborated with geographically distributed team to develop this new Java-based server with JavaScript (RequireJS and JQuery) front-end.• Improved performance of touch-based and tabbed navigation on iPads.Enhanced the Reflection X Advantage product, a distributed multi-tier X server allowing collaborative, secure access to X hosts. The architecture of this Java application is event-based, with communication between components in RMI using TSL. • Migrated persistence layer from eXist database to XML flat-file to meet requirements for reliability and backup. Wrote extensive XSL transformations to upgrade existing databases. • Implemented SOCKS proxy support for SSH connections.• Added support for a new version of XInput protocol, including development of X clients written in Java for testing.Led initial code design for new Java product, FileXpress Gateway, allowing tunneled SFTP connections configured through a web interface. Worked with two external teams to leverage existing components, a first for the Attachmate development group. Web interface was written with GWT on top of an MVP middle tier with an LDAP back end. Configuration of SFTP connections was made via REST calls to the native Reflection for Secure IT product. • Introduced the team to Spring and Maven, developed the initial build framework. • Participated in security threat analysis of product as part of the Attachmate secure development lifecycle.• Analyzed and improved custom IO code to improve SFTP transfer times for large files by 25%.Supported legacy Reflection PKI Services Manager, fixing bugs, upgrading RSA Crypto-J library and Java versions and aiding FIPS recertification.
